Scout Microscope

The Scout Microscope brings hands-on observation into a compact 22 cm format, with magnification from 100x to 1200x and a built-in light that makes small structures easier to examine. On a desk or kitchen table, the microscope turns leaves, fibers, droplets and prepared samples into a closer look at texture, shape and detail. The set pairs the microscope with 8 example specimens, 4 empty specimen slides, tweezers and a pipette, so sample viewing can start with prepared material and continue with simple own finds. Tweezers help place small pieces on the slide with more control, while the pipette supports drop-by-drop handling of liquids during basic sample preparation. The light function runs on 2 x 1.5 V AA batteries, and the microscope operates at DC 3.0 V. Suitable for ages 5Y+, the set focuses on the practical steps of looking, placing and comparing rather than on abstract theory alone. It fits well into short discovery sessions, whether examining the included specimens first or checking how different materials look under changing magnification. A leaf from the garden, a grain of salt or a drop of water can each become a small viewing task that keeps attention on what changes under the lens. Batteries are not included.
